As a young man serving in the Air Force I spent several months, probably in the late winter and early spring of 1974, in Indianapolis. I was attending school for American Forces Radio and Television there at Ft. Benjamin Harrison.
It was a little more than a two hour drive up the Interstate to Fort Wayne where my cousin Betty and her family lived. On a couple of occasions I traveled to Betty and Don’s house to spend weekends. I always had a good time and enjoyed visiting with their young family. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any of their family since those visits and Betty has since passed away. Betty was also interested in family history and she and I shared information on the subject.3
