Obituary

Mrs. Mary A. Bennett died on January 18, 1956, at her home in Chaneysville following a month's illness. She was born on June 3, 1876 at Chaneysville, a daughter of Emanuel and Emma (Ruby) Wertz.

She was united in marriage with Sheridan P. Bennett, who is deceased.

The following children survive: Mrs. Stella Miller, Cumberland; Mrs Beulah Beck, Mrs. Emma Bennett, Bessie Nelson of Chaneysville; Mrs. Vora Williford of Baltimore; Theodore Bennett, at home. There are 27 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and two brothers, Valentine Wertz of Cumberland and John Wertz of Rainsburg.

Mrs Bennett was a member of the Chaneysville Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. with Rev, Walter Twigg and Rev. Harman of Cumberland officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Conner Funeral Service.
