This Richard Lines was convicted of the 28 December 1964 shooting murder of Curwensville, PA policeman Lyle Domico. The case had been sensationalized by at least one crime magazine popular in those days (
possible “True Crime” or “True Detective”
).
Richard was a nephew to Maude Sarvey. His father was her brother. He was a second cousin to the children of my grandfather Harry Wilbur Lines (1880-1974).

Police officer Lyle Domico was a 55-year old part-time Curwensville police officer.
Richard F. Lines was indicted for murder on 27 April 1965, trial scheduled for May.
24 May 1965 - Mistrial called when two men enter a corridor of the hotel where the trial jurors are quartered, after hearing testimony in the sixth day of the trial, and shout “He’s guilty, anyway!” Trial rescheduled for September.
Lines pleads innocent 6 June 1965.
24 Sep 1965 - second trial begins
Convicted of voluntary manslaughter. The jury was out more than 22 hours in deliberation and recommended leniency.
