Clearfield Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Thursday, September 7, 1950
PHILIPSBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Minerva N. Bloom, who died at her home Tuesday evening following an extended illness, will be held this evening from her late home at 7:30 o'clock.
Born in Westmoreland county, the daughter of James S. and Elizabeth J. Norris, she and her sister, Miss Maude Norris have resided in Philipsburg for the past thirty years. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her sister.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church and had been active in various civic clubs. She also served as one of the four trustees of the Old Union church.
Rev. C. Edwin Houk, pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate at the service and interment will be made in the Curwensville cemetery Friday morning.
