____________

Wayne was killed in a train accident in Sheffield, Pa. at a young age. [All I have found] is a 1900 census of a 17 year old Wayne Bloom living with a Romie family in Mt. Savage, Md. as a boarder. The other boarder listed with him is a
Railroad Brakeman, Wayne is a Farm laborer.

The story that was passed down [by family tradition] was that in 1906 when Ella died in WV, Wayne was going to meet up with the family for the funeral & because he had gotten into the accident on his way to meet them, Wellington & Elizabeth & Thomas came back to PA from WV and just stayed. OR it was in 1913 when Harry & Eva went to Cumberland, MD to get married and Wayne was on his way to meet them and got into the accident.

I have google mapped the routes & either is completely plausible. I do know that he was going to meet family when he got into a train accident somehow, like he got ran over or something.

My Aunt said that my Great Grandfather always told stories about him though & how he was just a kid and what a shame, so I'm guessing it was probably in 1906 for Ella’s funeral and maybe Harry & Eva married in Cumberland and maybe Thomas is burried there, they really had no reason to go to Cumberland to marry.7054
