Roy Walter Mays, 86, of Olanta, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at his residence.
Born Nov. 27, 1918, at Pike Township, he was the son of Milton and Rose (Joy) Mays.
He was a former member of the Oak Ridge Union Church.
He was a coal miner and owned and operated Roy Coal Co.
On May 10, 1943, He wed Arlene Louise Garlits, who preceded him in death April 20,2001
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents a brother, Charles; and two sister, Jane McBride and Dora Rummings.
He is survived by a son, Kelly Matthews of Olanta; a sister, Melva Odrosky of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Bloomington Cemetery.
