Dayton and his siter Eunice are pictured in a photo among the students of the Bower School of Curry Run in 1916-1917. Part of the Greenwood Township School District responsible for the development of the youth in its early days consisted of 4 schools: Bower, Flat Grove, Johnson and Pine Grove. Sometime later 2 more schools were added to the district which were the Cherry Corner and Curry Schools.3906
Rance Thorp and Dayton Lines built the log cabin that Rance and Hilda Thorp lived in at the grove. The cabin was later moved to its present [2010] location on Curry Run road and is now owned by Jim and Shirley Bennett.3900
